Congratulations to John Baldwin
Rob Whitmore managed to keep the pressure on right to the last game which saw him just 62 points behind. On the night though he found himself out-paired in an early show-down with the league winner.
To win the highest average title, a player must complete 12 games or more, and with exactly that number of games recorded the top average for the Summer 2011 White Horse season is an impressive 64.83 by Michael Stoner. If 25 games had been played to that level, Michael would have cleared the winning score by over 250 points. It will be interesting to see the table after the first few weeks of the Winter season.
Tuesday October 4 is a non-league tournament at both the White Horse and The Boot. The game will follow exactly the same format as normal except there are no subs required and no league points recorded, (and you can probably sit where you like too). This 1 week gap allows for some system maintenance on the website and gives the players who volunteer to help as tournament directors a bit of a break too.
Look out for a White Horse vs. The Boot in November...
