Congratulations to
Keith and Michael
On Tuesday 6 players in Oakington were in contention to become league champion, and in Longstanton the last game of the season saw two players closely vying for the top spot.
In the end, Ketih Bate secured his title by finishing second, ahead of closest rivals Colin Baldwin who made it to 4th and is runner up over all, and Rob Whitmore who just scraped into 6th place and ends the league in 3rd. With less that 1 win's worth of points between 1st and 5th, this looks like the most open finish of any league season.
Over in Longstanton the contest between long-time rivals Michael Stoner and Phil 'Never Again' Bradley was narrowly won by Michael who hung on for forth place, 2 ahead of Phil. As well as winning the Longstanton league season, Michael also claims 'best average' in Oakinton with 59.87 as Steve Symonds hasn't played the requisite 11 games for his 65.89 to count.
Ant De Costa easily wins best average in Longstanton with an impressive and record-breaking 84.18 and could be favourite to win the Summer season.
Tonight's game, and Thursday's, are non-league.
